Call for Participants OFN 2012

Would you like to get hands-on experience in research journalism and international cooperation? Do you want to meet people from diverse cultural, political and historical backgrounds, and exchange ideas on current affairs? Are you interested in the Western Balkans and EU enlargement? If so, then apply now!

This year’s edition of Our Future Network (OFN) kicks off with a training week, March 26-30th in Pristina, Kosovo. Here, six Dutch participants will mix with the participants from Kosovo and Serbia in three research groups. The training introduces the project’s three research topics:

· The Future of Multiculturalism: Identity Quest

· Youth Political Participation: Youth as Consumers or Producers of Politics

· Gender in European Perspective: Prospects and Thoughts

The research groups will design a research outline and strategy, which they will put in practice during the 24 weeks that follow. The project offers participants a unique opportunity to:

Ø investigate and compare current issues in three countries simultaneously

Ø share your findings online with the research team and the rest of the world

Ø interview stakeholders, armed with a camera

The groups will present their results on a closing conference in October in Belgrade, Serbia.

During the exchanges, accommodation, food and drinks, and professional and inspiring trainers will be provided. Dutch participants are required to contribute their own travel expenses to Pristina and Belgrade, to a maximum of €350.
